About this app

The German Association for Water Management, Wastewater and Waste e. V. (DWA) is a politically and economically independent professional association with around 14,000 members that advocates sustainable water management and the promotion of research and development in their fields of work. Its pillars are the development of a technical-scientific set of rules, a wide range of vocational training, conferences and congresses as well as the organization of networks for specialists and the dissemination of specialist information. The DWA thus offers a forum for ideas and the exchange of opinions via its main office in Hennef and seven state associations and supports politics with its advice.

In addition to the digital association magazines KA and KW, the DWA APP provides the members of the DWA with further digital publications, such as member newsletters from the state associations and the DWA yearbooks.

The KA and the KW are technical-scientific journals of the DWA. In addition to the technical and scientific questions of water management, they also deal with legal and economic aspects. At KA – correspondence waste water, waste, which is a leader in its field in Germany, the focus is on waste water and disposal. The KW - correspondence water management is the organ of the DWA for general water management topics: hydrology, water management, water and soil, hydraulic engineering, hydropower, water ecology, groundwater, hydromechanics, flood protection. In addition to detailed technical articles, both magazines offer comprehensive information "from the industry": news from the work of the DWA and its committees, current news from science and practice as well as short messages - everything that is important for water managers -, names and heads, case law, dissertations, books and other media, events.
