Dear parents, dear mother, dear father,

We are pleased that you are using this app in the interest of your child. The content of the app was developed by the State Working Group for Educational Advice Bavaria e. V. designed and technically implemented by Monks. This project was supported and funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs.

Separation and divorce are now among the most common reasons for registration in the Bavarian educational counseling centers. The focus is often on handling questions. As a result, we as counselors know that separated parents want a means of communication that enables quick and user-friendly agreements. The motto of the app "Separated - Together" emphasizes that despite a separation you are still the parents of a common child and that you can promote the development of your child through mutual agreements and parenting activities. The app is designed to help you and make it easier to organize family life.

Basic features of this app are:
Your chat history and uploaded documents are protected by the proven data split process. This gives you the same security standard as in telemedical applications.

The app thus also fulfills the characteristics of counseling in the Bavarian educational counseling centers.

You can suggest and communicate appointments (e.g. working hours or times when the child is with one parent) and events (e.g. parents' evenings) and communicate with one another. You can provide an explanation and you can upload the relevant documents (e.g. an invitation to a parents' evening, a parenting letter from the school or the child's certificate), which will then be available to both parents.
You have the choice of accepting or rejecting these communicated appointments and events via a button without much effort, or of exchanging information about an appointment / event in the context of a chat. Uploaded documents can easily be removed by the person who uploaded them.

The app can also be used when contacts and events with different custodians and the respective common child / ren are to be discussed with them, since the children are assigned to the respective other parent by the users themselves.

The app tries to focus on the child, their family times with their parents and their child-related appointments and to make everyday life easier. As a rule, children want their parents' agreements to succeed and conflicts to become less. However, the app cannot completely replace personal agreements. For this reason we have also provided you with useful links in an information section (media center). Here you will find the addresses of the Bavarian education, youth and family counseling centers, the Bavarian marriage, family and life counseling centers, the Bavarian youth welfare offices and other helpful information sites.
