TheoPad is a specialized, local-first note-taking app designed for Jehovah’s Witnesses – ideal for your personal Bible study, congregation meetings, and the ministry.
The focus is on what matters most: writing without the constant need to switch between apps. When you type a Bible reference (NWT), TheoPad displays the text directly within your notes.
What TheoPad Offers:
📖 Automatic Bible Integration (NWT)
Simply type Bible references into your text (e.g., "Mt 24:14" or "Psalm 23:1-4"). The app automatically recognizes and links them, showing the verse from the New World Translation in a preview window. This keeps you in your writing flow.
📝 Focus on Your Text
A clean, distraction-free editor for your study projects. Use formatting like bold, italics, or lists to structure your thoughts for public talks or meeting comments—without any unnecessary clutter.
📂 Simple Organization
Organize your notes into folders or with tags – perfectly sorted for conventions, mid-week meetings, or shepherding topics. Pin your most important notes for quick access.
🔒 Your Data Belongs to You (Privacy First)
TheoPad stores your notes in a local database on your device. There is no data transfer to developer servers.
• No registration needed.
• No Tracking: We do not collect usage data.
• Backup Notice: If you have enabled Android System Backup (Google Backup), encrypted copies of your data are automatically stored in your Google Drive by the operating system.

Use Dark Mode for comfortable reading during evening sessions or adjust the accent color to suit your personal style.
💾 Data Control & Backups
You have full control over your data. Create local backups of your notes and restore them whenever needed (e.g., when switching devices).
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Setup After Installation
Due to copyright regulations, TheoPad does not include pre-installed Bible texts. For the automatic verse recognition to work, you must perform a one-time import of the Bible file (RTF) from jw.org. The process is explained within the app and can be completed in just a few steps. Once set up, the app works completely offline.
