The MeinWLAN app is your personal helper when it comes to WiFi at home. Or to be more precise: if you are a customer of NetCologne or NetAachen, our app gives you even more options for mastering the daily challenges related to the Internet. Whether it's setting up internet access, improving WiFi range, troubleshooting, or measuring your internet speed - the MeinWLAN app gets you started!

The start menu.
Here you will find six tiles with an overview of all the important main functions. But what exactly is behind the individual features? Let's take a closer look at the main points:

Internet initial setup.
Under this menu item you will receive support for setting up your Internet connection and your WLAN home network - including help with the cabling of your router.

wifi tools.
With the WiFi tools you are well prepared to set up your WiFi connection very easily. You can also increase the WiFi range here - for example with the help of WiFi repeaters. Are you interested in which devices are in your home network? With the Manage Mesh Network feature, you can see all devices that are connected, including repeaters.

My WiFi router.
Under this menu item, you can easily control your WiFi router. Because our app reads the WiFi data from your router and thus enables direct access - without cumbersome intermediate steps. You can easily change your WiFi name and network key and share it with your friends. You also have the option of switching quickly and easily to the web interface of your router or setting up a WLAN guest access. And if you want to restart your router - that's no problem here either.

measurements.
We have completely rethought the speed test for you - and then launched it with the new feature "MySpeedtest".
The special highlight: With the tool you can not only measure the Internet speed in your WLAN at home - but also directly the WLAN quality and performance of your Internet line. You also have the option to check your WiFi speed. Very important: In order to be able to measure your Internet speed, you need an Internet connection from NetCologne or NetAachen.
The measurement takes place between your smartphone, your router and your internet line. The app shows you exactly where any impairments are occurring - and what you can do about them.

Diagnosis.
The diagnosis function enables you to independently check and fix problems and errors relating to your Internet access. And step by step. You have the choice: Manual and detailed diagnosis or rather the automatic one? The feature carries out an analysis and thus checks where optimizations in your WLAN settings make sense. And the best thing about it: You can carry out the appropriate optimizations directly from the diagnosis. And this is how the diagnosis works: First, the automatic basic analysis of your WLAN router starts. It shows you the current status of all areas that are required for functioning Internet access. After that, troubleshooting can continue. The app helps you interactively and lists all the options in an understandable way.
