Amtfix — Finally understand official letters, notices, and contracts
Who hasn't experienced this? A letter arrives from the authorities — and you're completely lost. Deadlines, paragraphs, technical terms. Amtfix translates and explains your official mail and important contracts — in simple language, in your language.
WHY AMTFIX?
We operate two post offices with lottery outlets and a kiosk in Heidenheim and Herbrechtingen. Every day, we see people coming to us with their official mail — the notice in hand and the question: "What does it say? What am I supposed to do?"
People whose native language isn't German, elderly customers, or families are particularly overwhelmed when mail arrives from the job center, tax office, immigration office, health insurance company, pension insurance provider, or family benefits office — citizen's allowance, child benefit, parental allowance, tax assessment, pension statement, reminder, appeal. That's precisely why we developed Amtfix: a reading aid that makes officialese understandable — translated into 17 languages.
