With “Insect Checker” you can check whether your food contains insects or additives approved by the European Union (EU). To do this, you can simply scan the barcode (EAN code), enter it by hand or carry out an AI-supported photo analysis of the ingredients on the packaging.
Insect Checker is THE ORIGINAL and the first app that combines all functions and can be used offline. This has often proven to be very helpful, especially when reception is poor.
As a user, you are part of a community without having to register or save your data. All users have the opportunity to participate in Insect Checker and “feed” the database with the latest information. Our database already includes hundreds of thousands of products from all over Europe and is growing every day.
All reported data is checked by us and approved by hand, so you are always up to date! The current community data can be downloaded from the website upon request and without any hidden costs. Try it out :-)
The operation is very easy and intuitive. The test results are displayed quickly and easily to understand.
In the settings you can specify which insects and additives to search for.
We have translated the interface into 15 additional languages and brightened it up with funny animations.
In the history you will find all the products that you have scanned or whose barcode you have entered.
Other additional functions such as shaking gestures for barcode scanning round off the use.
