DragSelfie is a hands-free self-timer camera. Put the phone down, drag the shutter to choose your countdown, and walk into the shot. Nobody has to hold the camera, and nobody gets left out of the photo.
HOW THE DRAG TIMER WORKS
Press the shutter and drag it upward. The further you drag, the longer the countdown, from 1 to 10 seconds. Let go and the countdown starts, so you have time to step back, find your spot, and pose. The drag is the timer: there is no separate timer menu to open.
In a hurry, tap the shutter for an immediate photo. You can also switch on volume-key capture in settings and press a volume button instead. Started a countdown by mistake? Tap the shutter again to cancel it.
WHO USES DRAGSELFIE
- Solo travellers who prop the phone on a tripod, a wall, or a table and want the whole place in the frame, not just an arm's length of it.
- Anyone taking full-length photos: outfits, styling, a new haircut, progress shots.
- Couples, families, and groups of friends who want everyone in the picture, with nobody stuck behind the camera.
- Creators and personal-brand users who try one pose after another and would rather not walk back to the phone between shots.
- Anyone checking their form during a workout or a practice session, where the phone needs to stay exactly where it is.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Choose a 1 to 10 second countdown by dragging the shutter upward.
- Tap the shutter for an immediate photo, or use the volume key once that option is on.
- Cancel a running countdown with a second tap.
- Switch between the front and rear camera.
- Tap the preview to focus, and pinch to zoom where your device supports it.
- Choose whether front-camera photos are saved mirrored, the way the preview looks, or unmirrored.
- Open your most recent shot straight from the camera screen.
- Keep your photos in the photo album on your device.
YOUR PHOTOS STAY YOURS
Basic capture stays on your device. DragSelfie does not require an account, and it does not upload your photos to a cloud album. The in-app gallery shows the photos DragSelfie took, not your whole device library.
One idea runs through the whole app: put the phone down, drag, and be in your own photos.
Take hands-free solo and group photos. Drag the shutter to set your timer.
