SEW DriveRadar® IoT App – Overview
The SEW DriveRadvar® IoT App is a mobile assistance solution designed to support commissioning, configuration, maintenance and product support for SEW drive systems and electronic components.
Basic Functionality
After capturing the serial number (manually, via QR code or OCR) of an SEW device, the app provides product-specific information and functions, including:
• Technical data and documentation
• Installation and maintenance instructions
• Fault diagnosis with LED codes, root causes and recommended actions for SEW inverters and SEW gearmotors
• Note and photo function for recording irregularities
• Step-by-step assistants for mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning
• Recording and management of all captured devices in a Device Manager
• Storage of work progress
New features in Release 4.0
The following functions require the CAB11A option module as an interface converter:
• Parameter tree access for all inverter series
• Display of key status parameters in the dashboard
• Export and import of device parameter sets, including storage on the end device
• Live display, fault & diagnostics and reset of inverter states
• Motor commissioning via SmartDrive or DDI / DMI
• Manual operation mode for testing and optimizing drives
General new features in Release 4.0
• Onboarding for new users
• Restructured menu navigation
Optional access for Industrial Gear Unit Monitoring
For users with access to the DriveRadar IoT Suite for industrial gear units, the app additionally offers:
• Mobile availability of relevant gear unit data
• Functions for alarming and monitoring directly on-site
Integration of previous applications
The app combines the functions of the previously standalone SEW EURODRIVE apps:
• SEW DriveRadar IG
• SEW Diagnostics
• SEW Product ID plus
Continuous development and User Feedback
• The app is continuously developed and enhanced with new features. User feedback and ratings in the App Store are expressly welcome.
