this has a lot of potential but maybe put in some way for the user to see the combination as they are typing it. otherwise it will be very difficult to learn. I'm talking about is like a pop up of the letter that is about to be entered as a person is typing it, or something where it shows which letters are possible with from each key in the app, just because people can't always reference another page when they are wanting to type.

Sorry, I don't see your point. Each letter is a single tap, and appears immediately in the text. Popping up something would be just noisy, and gives no additional information. Have you really tried it?

I love it! It is all I have used for typing since December, even at work. I would just add two things: 1) The ability to move the buttons by simply pressing all 5 for a certain period of time and 2) The ability to use all the vacant space as a virtual trackpad. If this can be it's own separate display while the other contents are on a second monitor, then why even carry a laptop :) Edit: For 2, first you set the location of the 5 buttons and then the space not used by the buttons is the trackpad

(1) is a very good idea! Let me investigate more. However F-SPACE followed by a tap has the same effect. But (2) I do not understand ...

Great app, and I'm glad/impressed you are still maintaining it! A lot of effort was put into this to make it practical and useful, something I wish was more common. Vielen Dank! My only suggestion would be to make it possible to change the mapping either with a gui or config file (or both preferably). I understand it might be a little outside the scope of your goals for this, but since there really isn't anything else like this adding that functionality would allow for many more possibilities.

Thanks al lot! I really understand your desire for more flexibility. Currently only Alt-Keys can be (re)defined at runtime. Perhaps this DEF mechanism could be extended to other keys, but it would b very hard to understand and/or explain. I suspect even the current DEF is too hard (I use it very seldom, and always forget how to use it 😉
