About this app

Cast videos from phone to TV, mirror your screen, and stream wirelessly to any smart TV. Chromecast, Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, LG, Apple TV, DLNA, and 200+ devices. LocalCast is the free cast app trusted by millions since 2013.

CAST TO TV — FROM ANYWHERE
Browse any website and cast web videos, movies, TV shows, and live streams directly to your Chromecast or smart TV. The built-in browser detects playable video on any page — just tap and cast from phone to TV. No URL copying, no fiddling.

Cast local videos, photos, and music from your phone to your TV. MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WEBM, MP3, FLAC, and more — LocalCast handles transcoding automatically when your TV doesn't support the format. A video player and casting app in one.

SCREEN MIRRORING & SCREENCAST
Mirror your phone screen to any smart TV in HD. Screen mirroring works with Chromecast, Roku, Fire TV, and DLNA TVs. Perfect for presentations, video calls, gaming, or anything without a cast button. Adjustable resolution, quality, and frame rate. Connect your phone to your TV wirelessly — no cables, no dongles.

WEB BROWSER TO TV
Turn any video site into a casting source. News, sports streams, movie portals — find a video and cast it to your TV in one tap. Free bookmarks and browsing history included, no purchase required.

REMOTE CONTROL
Control your TV from your phone. Play, pause, seek, adjust volume, and skip tracks. Works as a remote for Chromecast, Roku, and DLNA devices.

CAST FROM CLOUD & NETWORK
Stream from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, NAS drives, DLNA/UPnP media servers, and SMB network shares. Connect to all your media from every source, one app.

IPTV & LIVE TV
Load M3U playlists, browse channels with the built-in EPG guide, and cast live TV to any screen. Your free IPTV player with casting built in.

SUBTITLES THAT JUST WORK
Auto-detects SRT, ASS, SSA, and VTT subtitle files. Pick from local files, configure folders, or search online. Styled, positioned, and synced — even on Chromecast. MKV embedded subtitles supported.

Hi, there. I've enjoyed using your app for a few years now. I recently received the 2026 update, and I'm currently experiencing issues with it. I can connect the app on my phone via Chromecast to my Sony TV, but when I try playing a movie it stays stuck at buffering. I can hear audio, but there's no video. Let me know if you need more details. I'm sure you've got some more troubleshooting to do, so I'll try to help however I can.

Hit or miss, unfortunately. Many times, the file doesn't cast correctly. Occasionally, only the video plays without sound. Other times, an error is displayed that a file isn't supported. H265 audio? Forget it. 1080DPI? Good luck trying. It's even more frustrating when you pay for the app and it just doesn't get any better.

What trash... Either it won't launch, or it freezes the device. It's always something with this app. If your app is a paid app and you aren't going to release any updates for a while, then I feel you're obligated to stabilize the app the best you can at least first. The issues I've encountered aren't device dependant either. They happen with every device I use it with.
