About this app

weZoom inst is a camera-based magnifying glass to zoom in on things around you. As a low vision aid it extends the functionality and accessibility of basic magnifying glass apps by adding color filter modes, themes, intuitive gesture control and one-hand operation.

The main goal of this app is to support people with visual impairments by providing an easy to use digital magnifier.

The main features are:
• Color filter modes for high contrast (black-white, black-yellow, blue-white, blue-yellow, black-green)
• Adjustable threshold for the color filter modes
• Smooth magnification up to 8x (extendable zoom levels)
• Exposure compensation
• Switch between manual focus and auto-focus
• Freeze of the live video preview (you can still change the magnification level in this state)
• Photo sharing (e.g. with massenger apps)
• Volume key actions can be enabled
• Toogle to hide all other ui elements (fullscreen mode) to use more of the screen for zooming - very useful in combination with the volume key actions

Ratings and reviews

What is it with you developers and the screen magnifiers that you can't make the image clear using AI assistance. There's no sense increasing magnification if you can't read what your magnifying Target is. Images blurry and a complete waste of time when you can do exactly the same thing with the camera on your phone, uninstalling..📤

I've tried a handful of apps like this, & so far this is the best I've tried. No ads, no subscriptions, no misleading "free trials" - just plain free. And it has all the features I need. Simple! My only complaint is that it looks like it's in portrait mode, but it's actually in landscape mode. Pretty minor quibble. I don't use this every day, so it's not a big deal. Overall quite pleased with this app!

This is the BEST magnifier in the play store. I tried allot of them. The biggest plus for me (or anyone concerned with security) is minimum permissions I don't see why all the other magnifiers need location, WIFI, Phone info, etc., also No ads , and the camera works. I don't use the filters and I wish if you uncheck all of them the big A on the screen would go away. Also not sure what the check box in the settings does. To the developer Thank you.
