With the new telematics option Kfz Vario FahrStil we offer a special highlight for young drivers and customers with novice drivers under the age of 25. Young drivers start with a 30% discount right from the start. Driving safely and in compliance with the rules leads to a significant reduction in car insurance. In the following years, a discount of up to 45% beckons if you drive very safely.

How it works:
Our telematics sensor records driving behavior and forwards this to SAARLAND Versicherung in compliance with all data protection regulations (General Data Protection Regulation).

• With the Kfz Vario driving style app, the customer always has an overview.
• The current driving behavior score and the expected discount on the insurance can be queried at any time via the app.
• Details of the individual journeys and explanations of the score are displayed in the app.
• Explanations of driving style help to optimize the score or driving style in order to then benefit from the highest possible discount.
• The journeys recorded by the insured vehicle are displayed. In general, for data protection reasons, you only see the following information for individual journeys:
◦ Start and end point (location)
◦ Start and end time (date and time)
◦ kilometers driven
• Each recorded trip within Europe is evaluated individually and calculated into a score (score from 1-7 possible). Details of the individual trips and explanations of the score are shown in the app.
• For your overall score, all individual journeys are added together and the overall result is determined (overall score from 1-7 possible).

To do this, you need a car insurance from SAARLAND Versicherung, the free telematics sensor included in the tariff and an internet-enabled smartphone with a compatible operating system.
