About this app

Employed, self-employed, or both? taxtastic is the tax app that adapts to your life. From income tax to profit and loss statements, sales tax, and trade tax, you manage your tax return in one app – guided instead of paperwork chaos.

One app instead of tool chaos

You answer easy-to-understand questions about your life. taxtastic automatically assigns your answers to the correct forms and attachments and filters out anything irrelevant. If your case becomes more complex, you don't have to switch tools: income tax, profit and loss statements, sales tax, and trade tax are all integrated.

Pre-filled. But not blindly.

You can import wage, pension, and insurance data already on file with the tax authorities via ELSTER after you've given your consent. Afterward, taxtastic will ask specific questions about what's still missing – such as your commute, home office, work equipment, or home improvement services.

Receipts? Just point the camera.

Photograph invoices and receipts directly in the app. The amount and date are recognized and suggested for import. Recognition takes place on your device, and your receipts remain stored locally.

As you answer questions, taxtastic updates your estimated tax result. This way, you can see immediately how new information might affect your calculations.

You can use taxtastic for free to calculate your estimated tax liability. You only incur costs when you want to submit your tax return. The paid subscription takes place on our website, not within the app.
