About this app

Termax is your SSH client for Android and Windows: connect, work in a real terminal, transfer files over SFTP and generate SSH keys — fast, tidy and secure.

WHY TERMAX
• Free sync: create connections on your PC, use them on your phone — end-to-end encrypted, at no extra cost
• No account needed: you only need one for sync and the optional dictation
• No AI reading along: commands, terminal output and credentials never go to an AI model, and nothing is trained on your data

WHAT TERMAX DOES
• Full terminal with true color, mouse and keyboard support (xterm)
• Password, key and keyboard-interactive auth (e.g. OTP)
• SFTP file manager with progress — right next to the terminal
• Generate keys (ed25519/RSA) and save recurring commands as snippets
• Import ~/.ssh/config (pick a file)
• Older devices too: legacy SSH algorithms can be enabled per connection, e.g. for old Cisco switches and routers

SECURITY & PRIVACY
• Passwords and keys are encrypted on your device via the Android Keystore (hardware-backed)
• Sync is end-to-end encrypted (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM): the server only ever stores ciphertext and cannot read your data
• Host-key verification against man-in-the-middle: each server key is pinned on first connect; if it changes, the connection is refused
• Works offline — your connection data stays with you
• No ads. Anonymous usage analytics are off by default and can be turned off anytime
• The one exception regarding AI: the optional dictation. Only when you tap the microphone, the audio goes to speech recognition (Groq, USA); neither the audio nor the text is stored

WHO IT'S FOR
For anyone managing their own servers, a Raspberry Pi or a VPS — pro or hobbyist. Termax connects to any SSH server (Ubuntu, Debian, Raspberry Pi OS, Hetzner, IONOS, Contabo, DigitalOcean, AWS and more).

WINDOWS VERSION
Termax is also available for Windows. With the free sync your connections are on both devices.
