About this app
No more paper slips, recalculations, and forgotten times. With time2lock, the digital time clock for tradespeople, your work time starts automatically via GPS as soon as you arrive at the customer's site, and every minute is recorded. Developed in-house because no other time tracking system was suitable.

Ideal for businesses with changing work locations: trades and construction sites, installation and service, building services, landscaping, site management, and office work. Employees log in using their employer's access credentials (company abbreviation, username, PIN). Access cannot be purchased within the app.
WORK TIME TRACKING VIA GPS OR BUTTON
• Simply arrive: The app uses GPS to detect when you arrive at the project site and starts the timer automatically. It ends automatically when you drive away.
• No more forgetting, no more entering information in the evening: Arrival and departure times are recorded with time and GPS accuracy.
• Or the classic way with a button: Start, Stop, Pause, switch activities seamlessly.
• Your most frequent activities are readily available as favorites.
• Automatically recorded entries are added to the checklist: a confirmation tip is provided.
• Breaks according to Section 4 of the German Working Time Act (ArbZG) are added if missing and clearly marked.
• No network coverage on the construction site? The app continues recording and transmits later

LOCATION: WHAT FOR AND HOW
For automatic start and stop, time2lock uses your location even in the background, i.e., when the app is closed or not in use. Your location is only saved upon arrival and departure at the project site, at start and stop, at the beginning and end of the workday, for the verification photo, and when the client signs. A movement trail is not saved. During a workday, the phone compares its position with the project sites approximately every minute; this comparison runs only on the device, without being saved, and is indicated by a continuous notification. The saved location points are part of the time tracking and visible to your employer (e.g., "Location checked" on the timesheet). The automatic function can be deactivated; manual tracking via the button also works without location sharing.
YOUR DATA REMAINS YOURS
Each company receives its own instance with its own database on servers in Germany. No advertising. The employer is responsible for employee data; the data processing agreement is part of the subscription. Privacy policy: time2lock.de/datenschutz
