Vantaguard Secure App Lock helps protect private applications on your Android device from unauthorized access. Secure chats, photos, email, shopping, social media, banking, and other personal services with a PIN, password, fingerprint, or supported biometric authentication. No account is required, and core security data is processed locally on your device.
🔐 Lock apps with PIN, password, or biometrics
Choose the applications you want to protect. When someone opens a protected application, Secure App Lock displays its own authentication screen. Depending on your device, you can unlock with a PIN, password, fingerprint, or another supported biometric method.
⚙️ Permissions used for protection
To display installed applications and let you choose what to protect, Secure App Lock needs access to the list of software installed on your device. This information is used for selection, groups, schedules, and identifying protected applications.
For reliable detection, Secure App Lock may also use Android Usage Access to determine which application is currently in the foreground.
Secure App Lock also uses the Android AccessibilityService API. This service helps detect when a protected application or an Android area relevant to an enabled self-protection feature is opened. It allows the authentication screen to appear at the appropriate time and enables the protection features you selected.
The required processing takes place locally on your device. The Accessibility Service is not used to collect passwords, messages, or personal content from other applications or to transmit such content to Vantaguard.
Its use is explained inside Secure App Lock before activation. You decide whether to consent and then enable the service in Android settings.
⏱️ Schedules and groups
Create schedules to automatically protect selected applications at specific times. Groups let you manage several selections together. A configurable unlock time window also lets you reopen trusted applications for a limited period without authenticating every time.
📸 Intruder selfie and security logs
After repeated incorrect PIN attempts, Secure App Lock can capture an intruder selfie when camera permission is granted. Failed authentication attempts can also be recorded in security logs.
🎨 Custom authentication screen themes
Choose from different designs, colors, and layouts to personalize the protection screen.
🛡️ Privacy without an account
Secure App Lock does not require registration or a user account. Core protection settings and security logs are processed locally on your Android device. A cloud account is not required for the main protection features.
⚙️ Protection for Secure App Lock itself
Optional self-protection features can make unauthorized uninstall attempts more difficult and help safeguard important permissions required by Secure App Lock. This protection applies only to Secure App Lock itself and does not prevent the removal of other installed applications or changes to their settings.
