About this app

The 4scan app has been specially developed for the quick capture of barcodes (128), which are saved line by line in a text file.
This file can then be transferred from the mobile device to your stationary system via email or cable.

4BIT creates merchandise management programs specializing in stationary bookstores.

With the help of the 4scan app, the complex inventory process can be greatly simplified.
The items are scanned and the saved list is then conveniently transferred to your local system via email.
The LiBraS merchandise management or our bibliography HEUREKA can import this file.
The inventory is finished.

But the tool can also be used in any way outside of our 4BIT cosmos.
The text file can e.g. B. can also be imported into Excel.
It is best to find out from your software provider whether your merchandise management system can also process text files with EAN / ISBN numbers (the line ends with CrLF).

Safely avoid inventory errors. Our new “Stock File” feature (available in Settings as an in-app purchase for €9.99) will help you with this.
"Stock File" allows you to import a text file containing ISBN/EAN/GTIN/Item numbers from your inventory management or database.
Export the item numbers from your application to a text file (e.g. Lager.txt; one number per line, ending with CrLF).
To check your file, we have developed a small tool that reads your file and outputs a compatible 4scan file.
This way we can ensure that the 4scan app can also use files that were not created by our own applications (LiBraS, HEUREKA).
You can simply send the warehouse file to your mobile device via email or iCloud, save it there and import it into the 4scan app with one touch.

The 4scan app now checks with every scan whether the number you just recorded is included in the list you imported.
If this is not the case, you will receive acoustic and visual feedback.
However, the number that is not found is still recorded as inventory.
Simply put unrecognized items aside and then check them in your program.


USE EXTERNAL BLUETOOTH SCANNER
If your mobile device has no camera or only a damaged/poor camera, you can also use a compatible Bluetooth scanner
Connect to your mobile device (e.g. Eyoyo EY-017 2D).
