AUTOMATIC DETECTION
Redact finds faces in large crowds, in profile and at the edge of the frame. It can also scan for vehicle license plates using text recognition.
CONTROL OVER EVERY PERSON
Tap someone to reveal them or give them a different treatment. Your daughter gets a heart emoji, the bystanders behind her get pixelation – in the very same picture.
EFFECTS
Pixelation, blur, bars, emoji and sticker packs. Shape, strength and edge are yours to adjust.
VIDEO WITH AUDIO
Every person is tracked through the entire video. On the timeline you can trim individual people, reveal them for a stretch, or add anyone the detection missed. Audio is preserved.
MANY PHOTOS AT ONCE
Up to 20 photos in a single pass – one effect for all of them, or fine-tune each one.
PROJECTS
Unfinished work waits in your library and reopens with every detection intact, with nothing to recompute.
METADATA REMOVAL
Location, camera model and capture time (EXIF) are stripped on export. Your original is never touched – Redact always writes a new copy.

Redact needs no internet connection to do its work. Your photos and videos never leave this device: there is no server they could be uploaded to. No account, no sign-up, no advertising IDs, no analytics libraries.
Face detection runs on a model executing directly on your processor.
The only moment Redact talks to a server at all is the feedback form – and even then only after you have confirmed the full text.
