About this game

Children from the 2nd class train with the multiplication app playful painting and shared tasks of the small multiplication table and the multiplication table with ten numbers.

Before the training starts, the children choose to play with Zahlenzorro, with Nick and Emma from the book Denk und Arithmetic, with Flex and Flo or with Zahlix and Zahline from the world of numbers.

The app consists of three computing worlds, each corresponding to different difficulty levels:
    • The Frog Pond includes difficulty level tasks easily: all 10 tasks and the corresponding results can be seen. The results should be correctly assigned to the tasks.
    • The island contains difficulty level tasks: There is a missing number in the displayed task. You can choose from three numbers, from which the correct one should be selected and used in the task.
    • The beach has difficult difficulty levels: the shells each have a task that can be counted without any choice. The correct result is typed in using the keyboard at the bottom of the screen.

All tasks can thus be trained on different levels of difficulty. The children themselves decide by choosing the computing world whether they want to make their training easier or more difficult.

The children can also decide for themselves whether they would like to count the math or divided tasks of the small multiplication table or the multiplication table with numbers of ten and which number series they would like to practice. With the selection "Number Mix" the number series can also be trained mixed.

The goal is to solve as many tasks as possible in the given time while achieving the highest possible score. In calculating against time, the children are motivated to repeat the games and tasks to achieve new bests.

If 5, 10 or 15 tasks are calculated correctly one after the other, there are additional bonus points. These are displayed during the game as bronze, silver or gold stars.

Another motivation is the medals, which are collected when all painting or divided tasks within a difficulty level have been trained.

All individual and best performances are presented in an overview, so that the children recognize immediately, which number of rows they have already calculated and how many points and bonus stars they have collected. For every new best, there is a new puzzle piece for a reward picture.

We are interested in continually improving our apps. Please send suggestions for improvement and error messages by email to apps@westermanngruppe.de.
