About this app

WinTec Plant Protection Label Scan identifies plant protection products based on their labels – no typing, no registration, no internet connection.

Simply photograph the label or select an existing photo. The app uses text recognition to read the product name directly on your device and compares it to the included database of approved plant protection products. For the best match, the app displays the relevant action recommendations and application instructions.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Photograph the label or select an image from your gallery.

2. Drag the image to the product name and zoom in.

3. Tap "Analyze Visible Area."

4. The best match, identification number, and action recommendations appear immediately.

FEATURES

WHO IS IT FOR?

For farmers, agricultural contractors, nurseries, municipalities, consultants, and anyone who needs to quickly identify the product they have in the warehouse or field and know what to consider when using it.

DATA PROTECTION

The app requires no account or registration. Photos taken are processed exclusively on the device and are not transferred to a server. No user profiles are created, no advertising is displayed, and no data is sold. Camera access is used solely for capturing the label.

DATA BASIS

The basis is the public database of approved plant protection products maintained by the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL), as of August 7, 2026. The database is updated with app updates.
