Use the app to show your speed on top of other applications like navigation apps, that don't offer a native speed display.

In some automation tools you can now use a shortcut to easily "start", "stop" or "toggle" Speed Overlay (e.g. Automate).

Great, thanks! It would be sooo nice if it could show the average speed of a started "activity". And that you could also pause and resume that activity using a button in (or maybe simply tapping on) the overlay. I'd like to use it as an overlay to the Garmin Varia app when cycling (shows me radar info on vehicles approaching from behind). This way, I could have SPEED, AVG. SPEED, DURATION, AND PAUSE/RESUME overlaid on the Varia app. But I do realise this might not be what you want with your app.

so if I was to do a screen recording with my camera app in focus the overly is portrait and the camera app video is in landscape and the overlay looks stupid that way ..developer has made a nice app w/ lots of features but not enough. only allows the overly to be resized/hidden but not rotated. there needs to be a rotate button on the overlay or in the notification shade to flip the overlay right side up. so that's the dealbreaker. too bad.

does exactly what the apps says it does. downloaded 5 apps before this one, they were all riddled with ads and did not overlay over other apps like this one does. and it is very accurate. 10/10 recommend for anyone who also has a broken speedometer!
