🚀 What is PulseThread?
PulseThread is a mobile application designed to replace the chaos of social media requests with the precision of modern logistics. It operates on a simple premise: Finding a verified volunteer during an urgent situation should be as fast, trackable, and reliable as ordering a ride.

By utilizing real-time geospatial querying, PulseThread connects users in need (Requesters) with verified community volunteers nearby, filtering out the noise, delays, and scams that plague current manual systems.

Inspiration
Last year, my family experienced a severe personal crisis, and immediate community assistance became a critical lifeline. During this time, I experienced the harsh reality of the current volunteer ecosystem: chaos and exploitation.

I was personally scammed, sending money for travel costs to a "volunteer" who never showed up. Beyond the financial loss, the emotional toll was devastating. I spent hours calling 50-60 people from public lists, only to hear they were unavailable. Meanwhile, reliance on Facebook posts resulted in agonizing delays; posts got lost in the algorithmic noise, and even when someone commented, there was no way to know if they were actually coming.

I realized that while we have technology to track a pizza delivery in real-time, we are still relying on chaotic phone trees for urgent community support. I wanted to build a platform that replaces uncertainty with logistics, ensuring transparency, credibility, and a Triple Handshake Protocol to certify every interaction. PulseThread was born from the need to stop families from feeling helpless and to protect the goodwill of genuine volunteers.

What it does
PulseThread is a location-based logistics platform that connects requesters with verified volunteers in real-time.

Real-Time Discovery: Instead of broadcasting to the void, it uses geospatial queries to alert only available volunteers within a specific radius of the requested location.

Live Tracking: Requesters can see the volunteer accept the request and track their location on a map as they travel to the drop-off location, eliminating the anxiety of "will they show up?"

The Triple Handshake: A unique security protocol involving three sequential QR scans (Upon Arrival, Item Verification, Handover Completion) to ensure the volunteer is physically present and the fulfillment actually occurs.

Trust & Safety: It enforces availability cooldowns to ensure volunteers aren't over-notified and prevents the "ghosting" common on social media by holding users accountable.
