TrackerDetector turns your phone into a passive radio scanner that flags the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular signals around you that may indicate hidden trackers, surveillance devices, or rogue networks — and explains, in plain language, why each alert fired and what it means.
No account. No cloud. No root. Everything runs on your device.
WHAT IT DETECTS
• Bluetooth, Wi-Fi & cellular tracking detection — continuously scans all three radios for nearby devices and the patterns that suggest something is following you.
• GPS anomaly detection — watches your GNSS fix and satellite constellation for the signs of GPS spoofing and jamming.
• Cellular network anomaly detection — fingerprints the towers your phone sees and flags fake cell towers / IMSI catchers (cell-site simulators) that don't match expected network behavior.
• KARMA-style attack & SSID-flood detection — spots access points that impersonate known networks and bursts of fake SSIDs used to lure your devices.
• Rogue access point alerts — flags APs that deviate from what's expected.
HOW IT HELPS YOU UNDERSTAND
• Every rule has an explanation. Instead of a context-free "device seen," each alert tells you WHY you are seeing it and WHAT it could mean, with a severity of high, medium, or low.
• Pre-loaded rules for common threats — popular item trackers (such as AirTag and Tile-style tags), police/military radios and Bluetooth, rogue access points, and more, ready out of the box.
• OUI detection metrics — identifies device manufacturers from their hardware (OUI) address prefixes.
• Bluetooth Manufacturer ID & UUID metrics — inspects BLE company identifiers and service UUIDs to characterize what a device really is.
• Custom rules — add your own rules to watch for additional devices, manufacturers, or identifiers specific to your situation.
• Deviation alerts for expected devices — get warned when a device that should be consistent changes, such as a commercial access point at a hotel or café suddenly being advertised by a different manufacturer than the genuine one.
FIND IT, MAP IT, EXPORT IT
• Geiger counter — a live signal-strength meter (with optional audio) that rises as you get closer, so you can physically pinpoint a tracker or malicious device.
• Map of alerts — see where each alert fired on an interactive map, and display or export the map of alerts.
• Exports — CSV, KML, WiGLE CSV, and SQLite, so you can analyze findings in your own tools.
NO ROOT REQUIRED
TrackerDetector runs on a normal, unrooted phone.
HONEST LIMITATIONS — PLEASE READ
• Alerts are suspicious indicators, not proof. They are starting points for your own judgment, not confirmation that you are being tracked.
• It cannot detect everything — it has to see the signal. The app can only flag a device if your phone can actually receive its transmission. A powered-off, shielded, or out-of-range device will not appear.
• Mostly passive. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS monitoring are passive. The cellular checks do require a live connection to a tower to read network parameters — but no SIM plan, number, or data subscription is required.
TrackerDetector is built for personal safety, privacy, and security research. Your data stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
