About this app

SanAlert shows whether drones or missiles tracked across the border are heading for the place you choose. It works across Poland.

This is an unofficial service. It is not run by any public authority and does not replace sirens, RCB alerts or instructions from the emergency services. Always follow the authorities. The data comes from open sources and may be incomplete or delayed.

THE LEVEL FOR YOUR PLACE
Choose up to three places, for example home, work and school. For each you see one of four levels: Quiet, Activity, Approaching or Near, always with how many minutes old the data is. When there is no data, it says “No data”, never “Quiet”.

NOW: RCB AND RSO
Messages from Poland’s RCB alert system and the Regional Warning System, shown separately and unchanged: RCB’s three tiers in colour, the area on the map, when the message appeared and when it was called off. They are not part of our levels.

THE MAP
Drones and missiles with their heading, air-raid alarms in the districts of Ukraine, the areas of RCB and RSO messages, and military aircraft that broadcast their own position.

NOTIFICATIONS
When the level at your place rises, you get a notification. Our server receives only the number of a grid square, about 10 km across, never your exact position.

WHAT HAPPENED
The last 12 hours at your place: what changed, what is confirmed, what is inferred and what we do not know.

WHEN IT MATTERS
The nearest shelter points from the official register, even offline, and “Tell your family”: a ready message with the level at your place.

PRIVACY
No account, no ads, no analytics. Your places stay on your device.

OPEN TO CHECK
We publish how we compare with the official warnings, and a report on every night: sanalert.pl/en/reliability.

Data sources: NEPTUN (objects in the air over Ukraine, and alarms in its districts), adsb.lol (military aircraft, ODbL 1.0), RCB alerts, RSO, the State Fire Service’s shelter register (dane.gov.pl, CC BY 4.0).

On a Wear OS watch: the app and a watch-face complication with the level at your place; places and language come from the phone, or are chosen on the watch.

What’s new

• The “The level at your place” widget: the level at your saved places, and the time of the data behind it. • Live in notifications: while the level at one of your places is above “Quiet”, one notification shows it as it changes; on Android 16 at the top of the lock screen and in the status bar. • Night mode: in the hours you choose, only “Near” rings; the rest arrives without a sound.
