About this game

FLINCH

One tap. One second. Don't flinch.

A reflex arcade made of one-second microgames. Each round is a new rule, a draining timer, and one chance. React in time and the next one hits harder. Hesitate, tap too early, swipe the wrong way, or miss the target and the run is over. The only number that matters is how far you got.

There is no tutorial. The first round is the lesson: a red screen, the word WAIT, then GO. If you understood that, you understood the game.

HOW A RUN WORKS

PLAY starts an endless run. The timer shrinks. The shapes get noisier. The margins get thinner. You do not unlock a map or grind a campaign. You last, or you don't. RETRY is one tap from death — that path is the game.

Every run starts from a seed. That seed decides which microgames you meet and whether a tap actually cleared the round. Share a result and someone else can face the identical sequence. Scores on the board are verified, not claimed.

THE ROUNDS

FLINCH mixes tap, refrain, swipe, hold, drag, mash, sequence, and two-finger verbs so a run does not flatten into stabbing the same pixel in twelve costumes.

GO — Red screen. Tap the instant it flashes green. Early is death.
DON'T TAP — A huge inviting button. Do not touch it.
SWIPE — A huge arrow. Flick that way.
TAP N — Exactly that many taps. No more, no fewer.
BIGGEST — Several circles. Tap the largest.
STOP — A marker sweeps a zone. Tap while it is inside.
ODD ONE — A grid of twins. One is different.
HOLD — Grow a bar. Release inside the band.
COLOR TRAP — The word BLUE printed in red. Tap the ink, not the word.
LAST LIGHT — Lamps fire in sequence. Tap only the last.
TWO FINGERS — Hit both targets at once.
DOUBLE — Two microgames, one timer. Both must be solved.
RISING — Scattered numbers. Tap them in order.
SWARM — Most arrows agree. Swipe with the majority.
NERVE — Hold from the first frame. Release on the flash. It will feint.
CUT — Swipe along the dashed line.
SWITCH — Two shapes, one marked. The mark may jump.
THREAD — Drag a dot through the gap.
MASH — Fill the bar. Tap as fast as you can.
DODGE — A wall closes in. Slide into the gap.
OFF BEAT — Everything pulses together except one.
SIMON — Obey only if the instruction is marked. Sometimes the right move is nothing.
REPEAT — Shapes flash. Tap them back in order.
PINCH — Squeeze the shape to fit its frame.

Miss once and it is over.

DAILY

Everyone plays the same run today. One seed, one attempt, one number you can actually compare. It resets at midnight. Endless is for a personal best. Daily is for bragging.

THE BOARD

Type a name in the corner if you want to appear on the list. There is no account, no email, no sign-in. The game is fully playable offline. When the board is reachable, verified runs show on ENDLESS and DAILY.

SKINS

Drawn in code, not in bitmaps — a skin is a full look: colour, corners, type, and sound. Earn REFLEX by playing and climb the ladder: NEON, PAPER, CRT, RETRO, 32-BIT. Paying is optional. The ladder is why you still open it on day seven.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

Not a puzzle you sit with. Not a story. Not a collection you complete. Not a game that asks you to make an account before you are allowed to tap. If you wanted a hobby for the evening, this is the wrong download. If you wanted one more try, this is the right one.

TIPS THAT WILL NOT SAVE YOU

Do not learn a rhythm. GO waits a different time every round.
Read the ink in COLOR TRAP, not the letters.
DON'T TAP looks like a button. It is a trap.
On HOLD, the band is the round. The fill is just the clock.
DOUBLE means both. Solving one is still a death.
When you die, the fail line names the mistake: TOO SLOW, TOO EARLY, WRONG ONE, WRONG WAY. Believe it. Retry.

WHO IT IS FOR

Reaction tests, arcade score-chasing, microgames, runs that last seconds. Ages 13+. Portrait.

No account. A name is optional. Mute sound and vibration in the corner, no settings screen.

FLINCH. One tap. One second. Don't flinch.
One tap. One second. Don't flinch. Last as long as you can. Reflex arcade. Play.
