About this app

Disappointed by Android's boring lockscreen notification experience? Tired of missing important messages because the default alerts are too subtle, or dealing with a cluttered, messy notification tray just to read a single text? AuraLook intercepts your incoming notifications and presents them on a beautifully minimalist, pure OLED black canvas.

Designed for instant glanceability from across the room, AuraLook gives your Android device a premium, cinematic notification experience without draining your battery.

HOW IT WORKS

AuraLook respects your device and only triggers when your screen is OFF. When a new notification arrives, instead of waking your entire lock screen, AuraLook gracefully animates a massive, high-resolution app icon on a pitch-black background with your notification details. Whether you prefer to keep Always On Display (AOD) enabled or off, AuraLook works seamlessly with your existing setup.

🧠 SMART & SILENT FILTERING

Your screen shouldn't wake up for every little background task. AuraLook is incredibly smart:

Do Not Disturb Sync: If your phone is on DND, AuraLook stays completely quiet.

Ignores the Clutter: It automatically ignores low-priority alerts, ongoing silent notifications, music players, and repetitive download progress bars. It only wakes your screen for the notifications that actually matter.

🔋 OLED & BATTERY FRIENDLY

Because AuraLook uses a true pure black background, the pixels on your OLED/AMOLED display remain completely turned off. You get maximum visibility with minimum battery drain. Even if you don't have an OLED display, the app runs minimally in the background and is only woken up when a notification arrives while the screen is off.

📱Gestures

Single tap to dismiss AuraLook.
Swipe up to directly open the notification.

🛡️ 100% OFFLINE & PRIVATE (Zero Internet)

Reading notifications requires powerful permissions, and your privacy is our absolute top priority. AuraLook requires ZERO internet permissions. It is physically impossible for the app to transmit your data, read your messages, or upload your contact photos. Everything happens locally and stays strictly on your device.

👑 AURALOOK PRO (Unlock the full experience)

Love the app? Upgrade to AuraLook Pro with a simple one-time purchase to unlock deep customization:

Contact Avatars: Instead of generic app icons, instantly see the actual profile picture of the person messaging you!

Privacy Mode: Hide sensitive notification content from shoulder-surfers while still seeing who messaged you.

Manage Apps: Take granular control. Choose exactly which apps are allowed to trigger AuraLook and wake your screen.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES & COMPATIBILITY

Smartwatch Users: AuraLook should work perfectly fine with Wear OS devices (Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch). However, If your watch is still not receiving notifications, you can disable the DND based approach in advanced settings of AuraLook to fix it. Alternatively, you can disable "DND Sync" in your watch's companion app to ensure you continue receiving notifications on your watch.

Device Settings: For AuraLook to perform smoothly without system conflicts, please turn off native "wake screen" features:

- Pixel Devices: Turn off "wake screen for notifications" in lockscreen settings.

- Samsung Devices: Turn off "show even while screen is off" under brief notification pop-up style.

- Other Devices: Look for similar screen-waking features and disable them.

(AuraLook uses the Notification Listener Service to know when a notification arrives, and the Accessibility Service API solely to securely turn your screen back off after the notification timeout.)
