Baekya turns your photos into a time capsule: take a picture, add a note, and rediscover it at a random moment within your chosen range, at least 24 hours later.
Do we go looking for memories, or do they find us?
A familiar walk. Light falling across the table. Someone laughing before you can remember why. We take photos to keep these moments, then leave so many buried in our camera roll.
Baekya is a camera for your future self. A photo stays hidden after you take it. You go back to your day, and somewhere along the way, a moment becomes a memory.
Choose how long to leave the door open.
Pick a range of one week, one month, three months, or one year. Your photo opens at a random moment between 24 hours after capture and the end of that range. Choosing a month does not mean waiting exactly a month. Take up to five photos a day.
Leave a little of today on the back.
A blank instant-photo card appears after each shot. Flip it over and add a note of up to 200 characters, or keep the photo without a note. The Font and Color tabs offer three font styles—handwritten, system and serif—and five ink colors: ivory, apricot, sky, lavender and mint. Once a note is sealed, its words and formatting cannot be changed. You can return to an unsealed draft later.
Find a feeling for the light.
Choose a film look and adjust its strength before you shoot. Give the moment a color of its own.
Meet the week again.
Browse your weekly albums one card at a time or in a grid. The first time you view an opened photo, it gradually develops into view. Photos you have already viewed do not develop again. The effect respects your device's reduced-motion setting. Turn a card over to read its note. Unrevealed photos remain blank cards.
Keep a copy of what matters.
Photos and notes are stored locally. You can create a password-encrypted backup file and choose where to save it through the system file picker. There is no Baekya cloud account or server-based recovery. Keep both your backup and its password safe; the app cannot recover a forgotten password. Copies saved to Photos, shared with another app or stored by your chosen cloud provider are managed separately.
A local notification can let you know when a photo is ready. Delivery depends on permission and device settings and conditions; it may be late or not appear. An exact notification time is not guaranteed.
Available in English, Korean and Japanese. No subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Leave a moment here. Let it find you later.
Take photos, add notes, and rediscover them later with a surprise reveal.
