About this app
Röfi is a financial learning app: a short lesson about money every day, in Hungarian, in a playful way. Eight tasks, three to ten minutes, and an explanation after each answer so that you understand why it is correct.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Six topics, 48 lessons, 377 tasks, all free:
• Financial basics: inflation, interest, compound interest, purchasing power.
• Savings and budgeting: emergency reserve, 50/30/20, bank accounts and fees.
• Credit and debt: APR, installment and term, credit card, KHR.
• Investment basics: stocks, bonds, funds and ETFs, risk, diversification, costs.
• Hungarian finance I: government securities, TBSZ, NYESZ, funds, interest tax and personal income tax.
• Housing and mortgage: equity and debt brake, fixed or variable interest, subsidies, renting or buying, fees.
For the Hungarian rules, there is also the source: MNB, NAV, allampapir.hu or the law itself. You can check it with a tap on the task.
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
Five task types: multiple choice, true or false, complementary, matching, and the decision situation, where you consider three possible ways to a life situation. What you already know will reappear after one, three, and then seven days, what you mess up will come up sooner. This way you won't forget it after a week.
RÖFI LEARNS WITH YOU
Röfi, the piggy bank adapts to your day: it is happy when you have reached the daily goal, and hungry when you have run out of hearts. Every day you study, your streak increases; if you miss a day, a shield will bridge it. XP, levels, 23 badges, a widget for the home screen with your series, and if you want, a reminder in the evening.
FREE, WITHOUT ACCOUNT
All six topics are free to play, with ads. You can open two new lessons per day, a third for a bonus video; you have five hearts for mistakes, unlimited repetition. No registration: your progress remains on your phone. Lessons work even without internet.
RÖFI PREMIUM
No ads, infinite hearts, no daily lesson limit, and all new topics are released one month in advance. Monthly or annual subscription via Google Play, can be canceled at any time.
UPDATED
The rules change annually. New topics arrive as updates (taxation basics, retirement and long-term, behavioral finance, insurance, fraud and financial security), and if a lesson you have already learned has changed, the app will tell you and offer to repeat it.
