About this app
Beacons shows people where you are, for as long as you choose. It works cross-platform.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Create a share code and send the link to anyone. They open it and see you on a map.
Choose how long you share for, from an hour up to a week or until you cancel (Plus).
Show followers your recent trail as well as where you are now (Plus).
Look back at your own trail on the map, whether or not you are sharing.
Pause sharing whenever you like, or revoke a code and it stops for everyone at once.
NO ACCOUNT
No sign-up, no email, no password, no subscription. Open the app and it works.
PRIVATE, END-TO-END
Your location is encrypted on your phone before it is sent. Nobody (including us!) but the people you send your share link to can view it.
EASY ON THE BATTERY
Beacons never runs continuous GPS. It asks Android for a low-power location update only after your phone has moved, and sends nothing while you are standing still.
FREE, OR PLUS FOR LONGER TRIPS
Free: share for up to an hour with up to 3 people, one code at a time, follow up to 3 people, and keep a day of your own trail. Beacons Plus is a one-time purchase that unlocks sharing for up to a week or with no end, trails for followers and your own trail for up to 7 days, up to 10 people per code, more codes at once and more people to follow.
