About this app

Day is an application development framework for creating native mobile and desktop apps from one Rust codebase. Build for handsets, tablets, foldables, and desktops using each platform's native controls and system features.

Day Showcase lets you try the framework's capabilities on your own device. Each page is a working example you can interact with, change, and learn from.

Explore what you can build with Day:

• Native interfaces: try navigation, menus, and layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktop windows.
• Animation and physics: change timing curves, animate shapes, and send glass marbles bouncing across the screen.
• Interactive charts: explore line, bar, area, scatter, and heatmap charts, with live data changes and selection.
• Lottie animations: play vector animations, switch between examples, and adjust playback speed.
• Embedded web views: use a website inside the app and follow links between web content and native screens.
• Custom graphics: experiment with gradients, paths, gauges, and drawing that responds to touch.
• Rich text and code: preview Markdown, format text, and edit code with syntax highlighting.
• Live data: search and filter a local database, and watch lists update as their data changes.
• Media and device features: play video, try speech and haptics, and watch live sensor readings.
• Languages and layouts: switch between English, French, Arabic, and Simplified Chinese, including right-to-left layouts, and compare light and dark themes.
