Memory lies. Ask someone how their month went and they'll answer from the last three days — or from whichever moment stung hardest. Halname is a two-tap ledger that keeps the receipts.
CAPTURE IN UNDER TEN SECONDS
The whole app opens on one screen split in two: emerald on top for something good, warm coral below for something hard. Tap a half or swipe — right for good, left for hard — type one line, and you're done. Attach a photo if the moment deserves one. Log as many moments a day as you like.
SEE THE REAL TALLY
Every day becomes a colored square on a dark calendar, shaded along a red to neutral to green gradient by how the day actually went. Scroll back through months at a glance. Tap any day to reread its moments.
WEEK, MONTH, YEAR IN REVIEW
A 0-100 positivity score, your good and hard counts, how this period compares to the last, your mood mix, and a handful of resurfaced notes — mostly good ones, plus one hard one, because honesty is the point. Every period plays back as full-screen story cards.
STREAKS THAT FORGIVE
A run that survives one missed day, because a single bad Tuesday shouldn't cost you a month of momentum. Optional daily nudges and end-of-period review reminders.
SEARCH EVERYTHING
Full-text search across every note you've written, grouped by month.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your moments live on your device. Android's cloud backup is explicitly disabled for the database, so your plaintext entries never end up in Google Drive.
OPTIONAL ENCRYPTED BACKUP
Sign in and your notes and photos are sealed with AES-GCM before they ever leave the phone, using a key derived from a passphrase only you know. The servers hold ciphertext and nothing else. Your diary syncs across every device you sign in on.
Halname means "book of feelings" in Persian.
Two taps a day. A book of feelings that remembers your year more honestly.
