About this app

ClassRise is a quiet daily habit for people who want to carry themselves well.

Each day you get one short lesson: a true story from history, the principle it reveals, and one small practice to try before evening. Learn from Seneca on anger, Lord Chesterfield's letters to his son, Washington's Rules of Civility, Emily Post, and the statesmen, hosts and leaders who mastered composure, conversation and grace. Every story is fact-checked, and when a famous anecdote is really a legend, the lesson tells you so.

WHAT YOU'LL PRACTICE
• Conduct: carry yourself with quiet confidence
• Conversation: listen fully, speak with care, keep confidences
• Composure: stay steady when provoked or surprised
• Hospitality and courtesy: make others feel at ease
• Character: keep your word, give credit, lead by example
