Zwist turns one phone into an arena for two people.
No accounts, no matchmaking, no waiting for a stranger on the other side of the world to take their turn. You put the phone flat on the table between you. The screen is split, your half faces you and theirs faces them, and you both get the same question at the same moment. First to tap the right answer takes the point.
EACH PLAYER IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE
This is the part no other quiz game does. Pick a language per player: German against Spanish, French against English, on the same device in the same duel. Every question is written in all four languages, so nobody is translating in their head while the other one is already answering.
WHY IT EXISTS
It started on a beach, quizzing each other to pass the afternoon. My partner and I speak different native languages, so every quiz game we tried was quietly unfair to one of us. Zwist is the game where that unfairness disappears.
WHAT IS INSIDE
• 2,338 questions across 12 categories
• English, Spanish, French and German, mixed freely between the two players
• Ban draft: veto the categories you dread before the match starts
• Handicaps, so a mismatch between two people stays a real game
• Read aloud, if you would rather hear the question than read it
• Streaks, match history and stats
• Plays fully offline. No account needed.
FREE, AND THEN FULL
Six well-stocked categories and every single game mechanic are free, with no ads, no energy timers and no subscription. A one-time unlock opens the other six categories, the all-categories mix, read aloud and unlimited match history.
MADE FOR THE TABLE
Zwist is built for the ten minutes waiting for food to arrive, the train ride, the evening on the sofa. Two people, one screen, and something to argue about.
One phone, two players. A trivia duel where each answers in their own language.
