About this app

Need an experience in your car? Pump it up with your phone. RevForge reads your own engine through an OBD-II adapter and builds its voice live, note by note, from your revs, your load and your right foot. No recordings, nothing played back from somebody else's car.

WHAT YOU HEAR IS BUILT, NOT SAMPLED
Every engine in RevForge is synthesised from what it is: the firing order of its layout, its displacement, its aspiration. A big naturally aspirated eight thunders, a small four buzzes, a twelve screams to the redline. A turbo spools, whines and blows off. The limiter chops, the exhaust pops and bangs on a lift, the starter cranks and the engine catches. Change the car and everything changes with it.

THREE WAYS TO DRIVE IT
• OBD-II: plug any ELM327-compatible Bluetooth adapter into the car and the sound follows the real revs, in the cabin or through the car's speakers
• Motion: for electric cars and anything without a rev signal, the phone's own sensors work out how the car is being driven and give it a voice
• Simulator: no car needed. Pedals, gears, clutch, launch control and a rev limiter on the screen, with every engine ready to try

TRIPS, LAPS AND RUNS
Record your drives with your position, time laps across a line you mark on the map, and run 0–100, quarter-mile and braking tests timed from real speed. Results become cards you can share.

TUNE IT LIKE A CAR
Idle, load, exhaust, intake, turbo, pops, overrun, shift character and more, each on its own card, with a four-band EQ on every voice. Save your builds in the garage.

YOURS, ON YOUR PHONE
There is no account, no login, no advertising and no analytics. Your drives, cars and tunes stay on your device. Location is optional and switchable off; the only thing the app fetches online is the street map for the minimap, and you can turn that off too.

FREE AND PRO
Free is everything that proves the app on your car: the OBD-II connection, the whole dashboard, trips, laps and runs, the simulator, three engines and two themes.
RevForge Pro is one permanent unlock, bought once through Google Play: all 139 engine configurations from single-cylinder bikes to V16s, rotaries and electric motors, the garage for building your own, the whole tuning tree with EQ, and every theme.

Works with any ELM327-compatible Bluetooth OBD-II adapter. Android 9 and newer, phones and tablets.

What’s new

The car sits on the road it is driving on, and how hard it is put there now follows how good the fix is. Under open sky your phone knows where you are to a few metres and is barely nudged; between tall buildings, where it can be thirty metres out, the road is the better answer and it gives almost all the way.

It still refuses below cycling pace, on a street crossing your path, and when the fix is too poor to trust at all.
