Marklift turns your PDFs into clean, ready-to-edit Markdown, and it does the whole job on your phone. Nothing is uploaded. No account, no sign-in, no internet needed.

Pick a PDF, tap convert, and get Markdown you can drop straight into Obsidian, a notes app, or any Markdown editor. Copy it to the clipboard or share it as a .md file in one tap.

WHY MARKLIFT

Private by design. Your files never leave your device. The conversion runs entirely offline, so a document you would never upload to a random website stays exactly where it is.

Genuinely simple. One screen. Pick, convert, done. No settings to wade through, no watermarks, no paywall in the way of the core job.

Clean output. Marklift reads the layout of the page and rebuilds it as Markdown: headings, paragraphs, bullet and numbered lists, and simple tables. The result is tidy text you can actually use, not a wall of broken lines.

WHAT IT IS GOOD FOR

Lifting notes, articles, and documents out of PDFs and into your Markdown workflow. Getting a readable text version of a report. Pulling a chapter or a handout into your second brain.

HONEST LIMITS

Marklift works on PDFs that contain real text. If a PDF is just scanned images with no text layer, there is nothing to extract, and Marklift will tell you so plainly rather than hand you gibberish. It does not do OCR yet.

No ads. No tracking of your documents. Just a small tool that does one thing well.
