Hwacha Fortress is a 10-minute action roguelike where you drive a wheeled fortress of Joseon Korea across the battlefield.
Drag the screen to steer. Run over small carts and foot soldiers with your wheels, and take down giant war wagons and mobile fortresses with a barrage of shells and a steam-powered charge.
Every level-up adds one of 10 Joseon siege weapons to your deck, such as the Singijeon rocket cart, side-mounted cannons, a dragon-head flamethrower and sawblade wheels. Max a weapon and pair it with its partner to evolve it. As your fortress grows it moves up a weight class and can shove aside bigger enemies.
Choose one of three fortresses: the Hwacha Fortress, the Land Turtle Ship or the Bigyeok Siege Castle. Survive the rival siege bosses at 3:00 and 6:00, then destroy the final boss, the Taesan Imperial Fortress, at 9:00 to win. Spend coins on permanent upgrades, raise the difficulty with five beacon levels, and fill 25 achievements and a 39-entry codex. A Daily Siege gives everyone the same conditions for a score chase.
[About ads]
The game is free and supported by ads. A rewarded ad plays only when you tap a bonus button such as supply kits, doubled coins, a card re-roll or reopening a chest, and the game progresses without it. Every few runs an interstitial ad may appear after you tap "Sortie again" on the result window; no ads appear during a run. There are no in-app purchases.
No account needed; progress is saved on your device. Available in Korean and English.
Some artwork (enemies, buildings, fortresses) was created with generative AI and then edited.
