Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization Limited (TYM) is the first official microfinance organization in Vietnam established by the Vietnam Women's Union in 1992. In August 2010, TYM was officially licensed by the State Bank to become the first Microfinance Organization in Vietnam with the name: Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization abbreviated as TYM. To date, TYM has supported over 200,000 women, poor and low-income households in rural and semi-rural Vietnam through financial and social services.
