About this game

Kombolela brings the East African playground game of hide-and-seek to your phone. One Seeker. Three Hiders. One Beacon in the middle of a village compound. Remember racing back to base before you were caught? This is that feeling, with rules that make every round fair.

CHOOSE YOUR ROLE
• Play as the Seeker: cover your eyes while the Hiders scatter, then hunt them with your field of view. Keep a Hider in sight, press REVEAL, and send them to the waiting area. But do not wander too far, because the Beacon is the Hiders' way back.
• Play as a Hider: you have 20 seconds to find cover. Duck behind houses and market stalls, slip into bushes where the Seeker cannot see you unless they come very close, and wait for your moment. Hold the Beacon for one second to free your revealed friends. If you are the last one standing and you light it, the Hiders win.

TENSION IN EVERY MATCH
A Seeker who guards the Beacon never finds anyone. A Seeker who roams leaves it open. Four minutes on the clock decide it.

MOVE LIKE YOU MEAN IT
• Sprint to cover ground fast, but it drains stamina and the Seeker can hear you.
• Sneak to move silently and stay harder to spot.
• Drag anywhere on the right of the screen to aim the Seeker's view.
• The Beacon's flame tells Hiders how close the Seeker is: guarded, contested or open.

EARN YOUR LOOK
Every match adds to your record. Unlock kanga stripes, kitenge dots, a school uniform, a football kit and more in the Locker, plus Beacon styles and name tags. Cosmetics never change the rules.

Kombolela is built for everyone who grew up playing hide-and-seek in the compound and cannot get the whole neighbourhood together any more. Village houses, market stalls, bushes and a golden Beacon, drawn in warm East African colours.
