Lens Battery turns your phone's front camera cut-out into a battery indicator. A thin ring wraps the punch-hole camera and empties as your charge drops, so you can check your battery level at a glance - without giving up any screen space or pulling down the status bar.
The battery ring sits on top of everything - home screen, games, full-screen video, other apps - and stays there when Lens Battery is closed or your phone restarts.
WHY A RING AROUND THE CAMERA?
The camera hole is screen space you can't use anyway. Turning it into a battery meter gives you a charge indicator that is always in the same place, even in full-screen apps and games that hide the status bar.
HOW IT WORKS
- Open the app and drag the ring over your camera lens
- Use the fine position and size controls to line it up exactly
- Tap Save, switch the overlay on, and close the app
- The ring stays on screen until you turn it off
THE BATTERY ARC
The ring starts full and empties as your battery drains, so a glance tells you where you are. Below 15% it turns red, so a low battery is hard to miss.
FITS YOUR CAMERA CUT-OUT
Centred, corner or pill-shaped - every phone puts its front camera somewhere slightly different, so nothing is preset. Set the width and height independently to wrap an oval or pill cut-out, place the ring once, and it stays.
CUSTOMIZE
- Size - 20 to 200 px, with independent width and height, or lock the ratio
- Border thickness - 1 to 20 px
- Color - green, blue, amber, coral or white
- Style - solid or dashed
- Background - none, black, dark grey or white to fill the middle
- Position - drag anywhere, then nudge one pixel at a time
ROTATION
The ring tracks the physical lens through portrait, landscape and upside-down, so it stays on the cut-out instead of sliding off.
LIGHTWEIGHT
No ads, no account, no setup beyond placing the ring. The ring only redraws when your battery level changes or the screen rotates.
PERMISSIONS
- Display over other apps - required to draw the ring above other apps. This is the whole point of the app; without it there is nothing to show.
- Foreground service - keeps the ring on screen after you close the app. Android shows a notification while it runs.
- Run at startup - restores the ring after a reboot, if you had it switched on.
PRIVACY
Your settings stay on your device. Battery level is read from Android and is never sent anywhere. The only thing that leaves your phone is an anonymous crash report if the app crashes, so it can be fixed.
Requires Android 8.0 or later.
