YouTube with videos chosen by a parent — without the open feed, comments or jumping into Shorts. KnowGately Kids gives your child a parent-prepared collection of videos inside the app, away from the rest of the platform.
CHOSEN VIDEOS IN YOUR CHILD'S LIBRARY
A parent prepares a collection in KnowGately Parents or at knowgately.com. In the web dashboard, several YouTube links can be added together; playlist import is available with Premium. The child sees the shared videos in Kids and opens a chosen material.
NO OPEN FEED OR COMMENTS
The Kids player provides no access to the open YouTube feed, comments, search or Shorts section. The next video does not start on its own. Parents choose the available content.
VIDEOS AND PRACTICE IN ONE PLACE
Alongside videos, children can open PDFs and images assigned by their parent. Subjects help organize the chosen materials.
A CLEAR GOAL AND AN OPTIONAL REWARD
A parent can require, for example, 15 minutes of learning before a subject with a chosen cartoon becomes available. The child sees their progress and the time remaining. A reward is content inside Kids; access also depends on the hours and time limits the parent sets.
PARENTS STAY INVOLVED
Activity in Kids appears in the parent dashboard. Parents can check recorded time, view reports available in their plan, and pause or resume access to materials. Remote commands require an internet connection.
HOW TO GET STARTED
A parent prepares a child profile and a collection of materials, installs Kids on the child's device and pairs it using a QR code or a one-time code. Children do not create accounts or enter a parent's password. Kids has no chat or in-app purchases.
KnowGately Kids works with a parent account. Installing the app alone does not block other apps or the whole device. Recorded time and completion describe activity, not understanding. KnowGately adds no advertising of its own; YouTube may show ads in its player. YouTube videos require an internet connection.
