About this app

A little less noise. A little more Scripture.

Turn the moments you already spend scrolling into time in the Bible. Doom Scroll the Bible brings together a calm reader and thoughtful ways to reflect, remember, and return.

START WITH SCRIPTURE, FREE
Read all 66 books of the World English Bible Classic offline, without an account or ads. Take in one verse at a time or open a full chapter for context. Keep bookmarks, highlights, and private notes as you go.

MAKE IT YOUR QUIET PLACE
Choose from nine themes, six fonts, and light or dark appearance. Share a verse as a beautiful image that follows your chosen style. Your reading place stays ready for your return. Guided tours let you try the controls with temporary examples. Private reading history helps you find a passage again, even if you forgot to bookmark it. You can pause or clear it at any time.

KEEP WHAT MATTERS
Your Personal Scripture Timeline brings meaningful saved activity together. Free weekly reflections help you look back on your reading without turning faith into a score. Write private reflections beside saved devotions. Local reflection writing, collection search, Scripture connections, export, and backup are free. Find what you saved in Your Collection and follow connections back to the passage.

GO DEEPER WITH OPTIONAL PLUS
Choose one daily devotion from 16 themes, from hard seasons and guidance to gratitude and relationships, or ask to be surprised. Explore the verse in front of you with up to five short Insights per day. Save generated content to revisit later.

Plus also lets you start sermon notes while you listen, then add details when you finish. Gather Scripture, thoughts, questions, application, and prayer in structured sermon notes.

A separate consumable credit creates a unique on demand devotion. These credits are purchased separately and do not require a Plus subscription. AI commentary is clearly labeled, remains separate from Scripture, and may be incomplete or wrong. Report concerns from inside the app. There is no open ended AI chat. Verse Insights use your selected WEB, BSB, ASV or eligible KJV edition. KJV access remains unavailable in the UK.

PRIVATE BY CHOICE
Plus includes optional private cloud sync and temporary History and Recovery. Plus Home Screen widgets match your style and let you read and move through full verses while keeping your place in the app. Sync starts only when you turn it on. Sermon drafts stay on your device. Personal reflections, sermon writing, and reading history are never sent to OpenAI. Cloud recovery does not replace a manual backup. Local notes, saved content, search, export, and backup remain available after Plus ends.

GENTLE REMINDERS
Choose reading, devotional, and sermon review reminders that fit your day. Notifications respect your choices and never generate paid content on their own.

CHOOSE YOUR TRANSLATION
WEB Classic is included. Download the Berean Standard Bible, American Standard Version 1901, and King James Version where available for free offline reading. Saved writing retains its original edition. KJV access is currently unavailable in the United Kingdom while permission is pending. Its optional Apocrypha collection is separate from the Old and New Testaments, outside the 66 book Protestant canon followed by this app, and excluded from daily devotions. Translation details and attribution are available in the app.

YOUR ACCOUNT, YOUR CHOICE
Sign in with Google for Plus and devotional purchases. Choose a monthly or annual Plus subscription. Google Play shows the price and billing period before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play; access continues through the paid period. Restore Purchases, subscription management, and account deletion are available in the Plus screen.

What’s new

This update makes favorites easier to manage, streamlines confirmation messages, and improves full-devotion PDF layout so text flows more naturally across pages. The What’s new summary is shorter, with full release notes still available in Settings.
