Folio is a quiet, minimalist reader for the books you already own. No store, no account, no ads — just your library and a beautiful page.

Bring your own books
Point Folio at the folder where your books live and it builds your library automatically, with covers, titles and authors. Add a file to that folder and it shows up the next time you open the app.

Supported formats

Pick up right where you left off
Every book reopens exactly where you stopped. The books you're furthest into sit at the top of your library, and a single tap on Continue takes you straight back to the one you read last.

Make every page yours
• Light, sepia, dark and black themes
• Literata, Inter, Atkinson Hyperlegible, serif or sans — or the publisher's own font
• Adjust font size, margins, line height, paragraph gap and letter spacing
• Justified or ragged-right text
• Reset to defaults with one tap

Turn pages your way
Choose slide, cover, fade or a realistic page curl that follows your finger. Prefer scrolling? Switch to continuous vertical scroll.

Keep what matters
• Bookmarks and highlights
• Long-press a book in your library to see every passage you've highlighted and jump straight to it
• Table of contents and reading progress always one tap away

Look up any word
Long-press a word and tap Define for an instant dictionary that works completely offline. Want a different dictionary or a translator? Tap More… to send the word to any app you choose.

Private by design
Folio has no internet access at all. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no sign-up. Your books, notes and reading history never leave your device.
