About this app

Axle Plan is an axle load calculator for a tractor unit with a semi-trailer. You enter the weight and length of your cargo, drag it along the trailer drawing, and the app instantly shows whether the axles and the gross weight stay within limits.

What you see on screen
• Steer axle and drive axle loads of the tractor, plus the combined load on the trailer axles.
• Tractor weight and gross weight.
• Limit usage in percent for each axle. Green means the value is within limits, orange means it is close to the limit, and red means the limit is exceeded.
• The drive axle's share of the gross weight, with a warning when it drops below the minimum you set.

Planning cargo
• You add a cargo item with a single button, then set its weight, length and position on the trailer.
• You drag cargo along the trailer drawing with your finger, and axle loads are recalculated as you go.
• Automatic arrangement places the cargo for you: against the front wall of the trailer and within the limits. If an axle would be overloaded at the wall, the cargo moves back only as far as needed. If the limits cannot be met, the app shows which values remain exceeded.
• A cargo item that should stay where it is can be locked with the anchor button. A locked item cannot be moved or changed by accident, and automatic arrangement leaves it in place and places the other cargo in the free spaces around it.

Your vehicle and your limits
• You enter the unladen axle loads and the vehicle dimensions, that is, the position of the kingpin and the axles.
• You set the permitted axle loads, tractor weight, gross weight and minimum drive axle share yourself, in line with the regulations that apply to you or your own rules.
• Settings and the latest cargo layout are saved on your phone.

Supported vehicle
Axle Plan calculates axle loads for a two-axle tractor unit and a three-axle semi-trailer 13.6 m long. The trailer axles are calculated together as one group. The app does not take cargo width into account.

No account
There is no account to create and no login. Calculations run on your phone without an internet connection, and the data you enter is not sent anywhere. An internet connection is needed for Google Play to handle the subscription.

Subscription
Vehicle configuration and limits are available without a subscription. Adding, moving and automatically arranging cargo requires a yearly subscription through Google Play. Google Play shows the price and terms before you buy, and you can cancel the subscription at any time. When the subscription expires, cargo is removed from the trailer, while vehicle settings and limits are kept.

Important
The result is indicative and does not replace weighing the vehicle. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered and for the transport complying with regulations.

The app is available in 15 languages, and you can change the language and theme (light, dark or matching your phone) at any time.

What’s new

Fixes requested by drivers:
• The wand places cargo at the front wall and moves it back only if an axle would be overloaded.
• The drawing shows each item's length below its weight.
• Circles at the ends of the bar change the cargo length.
• The anchor locks a cargo item: the wand leaves it in place and arranges the other cargo around it.
