About this app

Turn your Android phone into a fast, private connection for your PC.

PocketModem lets your Windows or Linux computer use your phone's mobile data through Wi-Fi Direct or USB. No mobile router, second SIM, or separate hotspot device required.

Your phone and computer connect directly. PocketModem creates a virtual network connection on your PC, so browsers, games, development tools, messaging apps, and other software can use the connection normally without individual proxy settings.

Connect your way

• Wi-Fi Direct for a completely wireless connection
• USB when you want maximum link speed or want to charge your phone while connected
• Pair once and reconnect quickly later
• Connect up to four PCs to one phone

Built for real everyday use

• Automatic reconnection if the link drops
• Per-computer data usage tracking
• Monthly and daily data limits
• Individual speed limits for connected computers
• Choose which sites or address ranges use mobile data
• Custom DNS support
• Block or approve individual computers
• Windows service mode for automatic connection after startup

Private by design

PocketModem does not record the websites you visit, your DNS lookups, or the contents of your traffic. Communication between paired devices is additionally protected using AES-GCM encryption. The app contains no advertising analytics or behavioral telemetry.
