Pparu is a tool that allows users to initiate and share their mobile internet connection with other devices they own or trust.
It creates Wi-Fi Direct groups without rooting and uses issued client settings to forward IPv4 traffic from connected devices to the mobile phone's Wi-Fi or cellular over-network. During sharing, it always displays the status and stop controls via progress notifications.
Key Features
- 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi Direct sharing
- Protecting the segment between the connected device and the mobile phone
- Per-installation credential protection based on Android Keystore
- Saving client configuration files, displaying QR codes, and forwarding to other apps
- Activation and deactivation per registered client
- Displaying sharing status, number of connections, and limited real-time traffic
- User-controlled initiation and stopping
- Cleans up shared resources owned by the app in case of errors
Check Before Use
- A Wi-Fi Direct-enabled device is required.
- Supports IPv4 TCP/UDP traffic.
- Does not support IPv6, ICMP, 6 GHz, or externally initiated connections.
- The level of protection to the internet destination depends on the app and protocol used. - Pparu is not a VPN service that applies to the entire device.
Privacy
Pparu does not have accounts, ads, analytics SDKs, or developer-operated servers. Wi-Fi and WireGuard credentials are stored on the device and are excluded from cloud backup and device transfer. The app does not send the contents of transmitted network traffic to developers or store them permanently.
Client configuration files and QR codes may contain private keys. Store or share them only with trusted devices and apps.
