About this app

Woolpip counts rows and stitches the moment you open it. It's a row and stitch counter for knitting and crochet with no setup, no account, no ads and no subscription, ever. Use it as a knitting row counter, a crochet stitch counter or an amigurumi round counter.

COUNT WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
• Home screen widgets in two sizes for the project you pick: + on both, and − on the wide one
• While you count, your project stays on the lock screen and in the notification shade with + and − buttons
• Bluetooth page turners and keyboards count too: next page adds a row, previous page takes one away

COUNTERS THAT KEEP UP WITH YOUR PATTERN
• Rows, stitches, rounds and repeats, as many as you need in each project
• Repeats follow your row count and number from 1, so an 8-row repeat runs 1 to 8
• Reminders at a row, every few rows from the row you choose, or at a set row in each repeat. "Decrease every 7 rows from row 14" is set once, and it stays on screen for the whole row
• Targets with count-down, any step size, and type a number straight in
• Undo a tap, or go back through a counter's recent changes to the row you want
• Lock counting so a stray tap changes nothing
• Time on each project, kept from the clock so it never drifts

YOUR PATTERN, YOUR PLACE
• Add your own pattern PDFs and photos from your files, your photos or the camera, or send them to Woolpip from another app with Open with or Share
• Save a pattern from a web page as a PDF, without the ads, comments and menus
• Keep several patterns in each project, each with its own notes
• Mark your row with a highlight bar that stays on its line and moves down as you count
• The pattern reopens on the page where you stopped
• Long-press an abbreviation on the page to look it up in a glossary of knitting and crochet abbreviations, with US and UK terms
• In landscape and on tablets, your counters sit beside the pattern
• In dark mode, pages are gently dimmed

MADE FOR KNITTERS AND CROCHETERS
• Count amigurumi in rounds: Woolpip shows the round and the stitch, and marks each new round
• Knitting tools for gauge, yarn amount and needle sizes, and for spreading increases or decreases evenly, which can write the reminder for you
• Celebrate a finished project with a photo and a card to share
• See your totals: rows counted, projects and time

KEEP A COPY, ANY TIME
• Export what you've counted to a zip of JSON and CSV files, and share it or save it to a folder
• Restore from that file on any device: it adds what's missing and never overwrites
• Every tap is saved on the spot, and Woolpip works fully offline with no account
• If you sign in, you can delete your account and its data from inside the app

NO ADS, NO TRACKING
Woolpip has no ads and doesn't use the advertising ID, and it never sells your data. It sends a few usage events (such as "a project was created") and crash reports, never with your projects, notes or patterns in them, and you can turn them off in Settings.

FREE AND WOOLPIP PRO
Woolpip is free to download, and everything above is free for one active project at a time. Finished and archived projects don't count toward it, and neither does Quick count.

Woolpip Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription: $14.99 in the US, or Google Play's price where you live. It adds:
• Unlimited active projects
• History by day, week or month, with a calendar and a timeline for each project
• Color themes, each with a matching app icon
• Notes and drawings on your patterns
