About this app

Joint Accounts tracks a couple's expenses and answers the only question that matters at the end of the month: who owes whom what?

Each person enters their expenses from their own phone. The app calculates each person's share and constantly displays a clear statement: "Camille owes Julien €29.15."

WHAT IT DOES

• The balance, instantly—the amount owed and in which direction, displayed on the app's home screen or as a widget on your Android home screen.

• Shares that aren't necessarily 50/50—50/50 for groceries, 60/40 for rent: the percentage is set per category and per person, once and for all.

• Both phones must be up to date—expenses entered by one person appear on the other's phone. Optionally, a notification alerts you the moment the expense is approved, without having to open the app.

• Recurring expenses—rent, subscriptions: set the due date once, and they'll be created automatically.

• Refunds and reconciliation—record a transfer between you, or settle accounts on a specific date to start fresh.

FAST ENTRY

• The business is saved the first time and then suggested.

• The category is automatically deduced from the business when your previous entries are consistent.

• A similar expense already recorded? The app warns you before you confirm.

• Duplicate an expense for today in just two steps.

• Optionally, the location of the expense is saved to recognize the business next time.

• Breakdown by person and by category, over the period of your choice.

• Month-by-month trend, with detailed figures.

• Monthly calendar, multi-criteria search, duplicate detection.

• Export all your data in JSON format at any time, without going through us.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING

• The app is designed for EXACTLY TWO people. It is not a tool for sharing expenses between friends or roommates.

• Synchronization between two phones requires an account (an email address and password, shared by the couple). Without an account, the app works, but only on one phone.

• Location tracking and notifications are disabled by default. You choose whether to enable them or not.

YOUR DATA

No advertising. No audience measurement. Your spending is neither resold nor analyzed: it is used only for you.

You can delete your account and all your online data from the app in seconds, without contacting us.
