About this app

6thSense Synapse is the companion app for compatible 6thSense capture rigs and EGO cameras used for robotics and tactile field data capture.

Connect your Android phone and compatible 6thSense hardware to the same local Wi-Fi network. Synapse discovers available cameras and lets field operators:

• Start and stop recordings
• Monitor recording status, elapsed time, storage, and camera health when reported by the device
• Review recordings stored on connected cameras
• Play back and share available footage
• Configure supported camera and network settings

Synapse controls connected camera hardware; it does not use your phone as the capture camera. Compatible 6thSense hardware is required for camera discovery, recording, playback, and configuration. Without hardware present, the app shows an empty camera state.

No account or login is required.

What’s new

Faster, clearer fleet control.

- Android: cameras are now found reliably when your phone is on a
camera's own Wi-Fi hotspot, even with mobile data switched on.
- Full Korean, Spanish and Hindi translation across the app.
- Clearer errors: the camera's own words are shown instead of
technical codes, in your language.
- Deleting a recording no longer warns that footage is missing.
- Fixes to update prompts so an update can't interrupt a recording.
