Weeksort is the app for the people who work the shifts.
Your workplace builds its week in Weeksort. This is where you read it, and where you say what you want and what you cannot do.
WHAT YOU GET ON YOUR PHONE
• Your week, and the next shift you are on, from the moment your manager publishes it.
• Say which shifts you want, on five levels from "Want a lot" to "Can't", while your workplace has the week open.
• Mark your availability: the afternoons you are in class, and the one-off dates you cannot work. No workplace setting can turn that off.
• Ask for time off, with a reason if you want to give one, and read the answer when it comes.
• Pick up hours. Ask for an open shift nobody is on, or take one a colleague has put up for grabs.
• Hand a shift over, or swap one with a colleague, instead of arranging it in a group chat.
• Tell your workplace how many hours a week you are hoping for. It is a target, not a limit.
• An inbox that tells you what changed: a week published, a shift moved, a request answered. By email too, if you switch that on.
HOW MUCH SAY YOU GET
Your workplace chooses: whether you rank shifts at all, how many "Can't" answers you may give, whether you see the whole schedule or only your own shifts, and whether a handover or a swap needs a manager's approval, is settled between you and your colleague, or is switched off. Asking for an open shift nobody is on always goes to a manager.
WHAT YOUR ANSWERS DO
Your manager builds the week on the website: by hand, with Auto-assign in seconds, or a mix of the two. Auto-assign never puts you on a shift you said you can't work, it keeps to your hour limits within that week, it leans towards the shifts you asked for, and unless your manager turns it off, it spreads hours towards the weekly hours you are hoping for. Nothing is saved until your manager applies it, and by hand a manager can still overrule what you answered or marked.
WHAT THE WORKPLACE GETS
Managers answer time-off requests, shift swaps and the people asking to join, from this app. Building the week itself, Auto-assign and publishing included, happens on the website.
WHAT IT RECORDS
Weeksort records who is scheduled to work. Your shifts are there week by week, with your hours for the week and the month, whenever you want to check them.
There is no advertising in this app, and nothing you do in it is sold to anybody.
HOW IT IS PAID FOR
Your workplace subscribes on the web, in a browser. This app never sells anything: there is nothing to buy in it, no checkout and no upgrade screen.
YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT
One account each, because you file your own answers and see your own shifts. Your manager invites you by email, or gives you the join code and approves you when you ask to join. You must be at least sixteen.
TWELVE LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew, the last two laid out right to left. Everyone picks their own, with their own date format, so one workplace can read the same schedule in four languages.
