ScanMe is an ID verification app that reads and decodes PDF417 barcodes found on the back of driver's licenses and ID cards. The app extracts personal information such as name, address, date of birth, and expiration date, then presents it in an easy-to-read format.

How It Works:
1. Tap the "Start Scanning" button
2. Position your ID card's barcode within the scanning box
3. Press the "Scan" button

Important Note on Fake ID Detection
ScanMe is not designed to be a comprehensive fake ID detector. While the app can verify that data encoded in a barcode is properly formatted, sophisticated counterfeits may include functional barcodes with false information.

For thorough ID verification, consider these additional checks:
- Examine physical security features (holograms, microprinting, UV elements)
- Check for inconsistencies in font or spacing
- Verify the card's physical properties (thickness, edges, lamination)
- Cross-reference with other forms of identification when necessary
